This day trip is designed to be flexible and convenient. Guests can begin the tour from any location upon request — whether from Muscat or other areas — and pricing is adjusted accordingly based on pickup point and group size.
We begin our journey with a cultural and historical immersion in Nizwa, once the capital of Oman and a hub of Islamic learning.
Guests will explore the vibrant Nizwa Souq, famous for its silver jewelry, pottery, spices, and traditional handicrafts.
A guided tour of the iconic Nizwa Fort follows — entry tickets are included. The fort is a striking 17th-century structure, known for its massive cylindrical tower and panoramic views.
From Nizwa, we ascend to the Green Mountain – Jebel Akhdar, part of the Al Hajar mountain range.
The drive is scenic, and upon reaching the top, you’ll enjoy cooler weather, panoramic mountain views, and terraced farms producing pomegranates, peaches, apricots, and roses (especially during March–April).
A delicious set-menu lunch at a mountaintop restaurant is included.
After lunch, we visit the peaceful village of Al Ayn, known for its traditional houses and breathtaking viewpoints.
On our way down, we stop at Birkat Al Mouz, a historical village with lush plantations and deep cultural significance.
Here, we walk through:
- The ancient Falaj Al Khatmeen, a UNESCO-listed irrigation system,
- The old Ya’aruba Mosque, reflecting centuries of Islamic architecture,
- And the old quarter of the village, showcasing mudbrick houses and narrow alleys full of character.
The tour concludes with a drive back to the guest’s location, based on the personalized itinerary.
